An actually NICE-LOOKING way to store your Nespresso coffee pods!

My wife and I love drinking coffee, and we do both a "regular" brew as well as fancy Nespresso creations. Sometimes though we save breaking out the Nespresso for special occasions, like weekends

But every weeknight, we (ok, it's usually her) make a pot of coffee that's set to brew in the morning. She usually has a cup well before I wake up, and then she pours her to-go mug and heads out while I'm sort of waking up. Then I get up, and drink the rest -- and likely end up drinking about 4-6 cups!

On the weekend, we'll likely do something a bit more special and break out the Nespresso, and "choose a pod". Of course we don't pick our coffee by type, strength, etc., that would be far too straight-forward and mindful. No, we choose our coffee capsule of the day by which color we like that morning!

PRO TIP: It's smart to have lots of different colors of coffee pods available for just this kind of important decision.

One thing I've always found super-annoying about Nespresso or Keurig is that if/when you do want to have a cup of coffee, you NEED one of the pods! And that means you need to keep a good number of pods around, say enough for a few weekends of coffee, you need to store them somewhere.

Most folks have a drawer or cabinet for them and have them socked away somewhere. Others have purchased some sort of holder for them so they're out on the counter, ready to go. The problem with both of these options is that they are taking up valuable kitchen space! If you're anything like us, you absolutely can't stand it and ... well ... you just won't stand for it!

This is NOT our house or our kitchen, but this is how my wife wants our counters to be: BARE.

The great thing about Nespresso pods (as compared to K-cups) is that they actually have some sort of color and design to them. They actually can look good on their own!  So, why not have a Nespresso coffee pod holder that actually looks good and gives you more counter space and cabinet/drawer space in your kitchen!

I was inspired by the snowflake honeycomb design I saw by antohneeo @Thingiverse, and decided to make my own version of these Honeycomb Nespresso coffee pod holders. I designed them from scratch in Fusion, making sure that while they used as little material as possible (to keep the material cost low), they fit the coffee capsules perfectly.

I ended up 3D-printing these in silk gold PLA plastic, and they came out shiny, super-clean, and highly-functional!

These also make it incredibly easy to load up. You can just place the coffee pod right in each hexagon and it fits right in, and stays put!  By mounting these up on the wall using 3M command strips (to not destroy the wall or paint), you can actually have a really nice looking, clean, stylish, and unique way to both display and store your coffee pods.

Once I made the one for the regular coffee pods, I knew I needed to make the same design but larger for Vertuoline coffee pods as well. This was actually a bit more challenging as it had to be bigger to accommodate the much bigger coffee capsules, but also be thin and light enough to conserve material and not add too much weight (when wall-mounting).

The result is the same: a great way to store and display Vertuo coffee pods.
