I Wanna See my DeWalt Cordless Screwdriver, So I Made This Wall Mount
I finally upgraded to the DeWalt DWHT66719 cordless screwdriver after years of dealing with a cheap, underpowered electric screwdriver that couldn't even turn the smallest screws on my 3D printers. Seriously, that thing was useless.
So when I got this DeWalt beast, I knew I needed a proper spot for it. Not buried in a drawer where I'd have to dig it out every time I needed it. Not sitting loose on my workbench where it would get covered in parts and prints. A real, dedicated spot where I could grab it without thinking.

And don't even get me started on all the bits that come with it. Those things scatter everywhere if you don't give them a home.
Why I Made This Mount
Look, I run my 3D printing business out of my basement workshop, and I'm constantly doing maintenance on my printers. Before I got the DeWalt, I had this pathetic excuse for an electric screwdriver that literally could not turn even the smallest screw on my machines. It was that weak. I'd end up just using a manual screwdriver most of the time, which defeats the whole purpose.
When I finally upgraded to the DWHT66719, I wasn't about to let it become another lost tool. The whole point of having a cordless screwdriver is that it's quick and easy to grab. But that only works if you actually know where it is and can reach it without opening drawers or moving stuff around.
How I Designed It
I designed this organizer specifically for the DWHT66719 because I wanted something that actually worked, not some generic holder that sort of fits everything and actually fits nothing well.

Made for this exact screwdriver
The dock cradles the DeWalt perfectly. It sits upright and stable. You can grab it one-handed and put it back just as easily. No fumbling around trying to line it up.
The bits stay with the tool
This was huge for me. The organizer has slots for both the short and long bits that come with the DWHT66719. They're visible, they're right there with the screwdriver, and you're not digging through a drawer full of random bits trying to figure out which ones actually fit this tool.
Two mounting options because everyone's workshop is different
I made two versions because I knew different people would want to mount this different ways:
- SKADIS pegboard version uses a T-lock system to attach to any IKEA SKADIS board. I use SKADIS boards in my workshop, so this was a no-brainer for me.
- Screw-in version goes anywhere you've got wall space. Inside a cabinet door, on the side of your workbench, wherever. Comes with wall anchors.
10 color options
I print these in white, black, gray, red, yellow, blue, purple, pink, orange, and green. Pick whatever matches your setup or just makes the tool easier to spot.
Who's This For?
If you've got the DeWalt DWHT66719 and you actually use it regularly, this makes sense.
It's especially useful if you:
- Work in a garage or workshop where you can mount stuff on the wall
- Already use IKEA SKADIS pegboards (like I do)
- Want your most-used tools where you can see them, not buried in a toolbox
- Do quick fixes around the house and don't want to drag out your full cordless drill for every little thing
- Work on 3D printers, electronics, hobby projects, or anything where this compact screwdriver is your go-to tool
What You're Getting
This is 3D-printed from durable plastic. It's for indoor use. Don't put it in direct sunlight or anywhere that gets over 150°F, because that'll soften the plastic.

Like everything I 3D print, it might have some layer lines or minor blemishes. That's just how 3D printing works. I set my quality standards pretty high, but if something's not right when you get it, just let me know and I'll take care of it.
The photos show the screwdriver and bits, but obviously those don't come with it. You already have those. This is just the mount that gives them a permanent home.
Why Wall-Mounted Actually Works
I'm a big believer in wall-mounted storage, and not just because it saves desk space. It's about creating a system where you can actually see what you have.
When tools sit on a workbench, they get buried under whatever you're working on. When they're in a drawer, you forget you even have them. But when they're on the wall, they're right there in your line of sight. You can grab them instantly.
This is why pegboard systems work so well. It's the same reason people use magnetic knife strips in kitchens. Visibility means you'll actually use the tools you own instead of wasting time looking for them.
