This is my interpretation and 3D version of the 2nd Engineer Battalion Display Insignia made for wall display or shadowbox display with your other memorabilia. This is the battalion identity you carried, whether your memories are tied to Korea with 2nd Infantry Division or the current Fort Bliss and El Paso grind with 1st Armored Division. 

For a lot of soldiers, the memories hit immediately: Camp Castle, downrange in Dongducheon, running over to the Burger King at Camp Casey, or spending too much time at KTC. Camp Castle was home to the 2nd Engineer Battalion for decades while it supported the 2ID.

🔥 The battalion’s Korean War story is part of why the name carries weight. At Kunu-ri in late 1950, the 2nd Engineer Combat Battalion served as the rear guard during the withdrawal, and the commander ordered the colors burned so they wouldn’t be captured. That moment lives on in the annual Burning of the Colors tradition.
